Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan

Amadu Khan,a  founding member of the Commission, wrote recently to inform us that he had lost his brother to Ebola. Amadu's note reminds us of the stories about a courageous doctor who risked everything to treat sufferers and who eventually succumbed to the disease himself. Sheik Humarr Khan was a man possessed with the sort selfless commitment that we aspire to, but often never quite live up to.  The accounts of the life of Sheik Humarr Khan are stirring. As Amadu wrote of his brother, he made him feel "proud, but humbled.”
